There are many degrees of Republican Party involvement.

We can be so very involved, and so into our own party line such as that we live, breathe, inhale, exhale every little bit of whatever makes up the party plank and platform. We even go so far as to order our lives using the party as our point of reference in all that we do.

We can also be involved to a lesser degree compared to the total involvement, striving to remain aware and informed of what is going on and on those things that define us as conservatives, for instance. We like and enjoy our involvement and although other things in our daily lives may take a higher priority, we stay in touch and do get by.

Then we have non-involvement. This is that kind of involvement bordering on remaining oblivious to events and things going on around us. We allow others to define what it is that we ought to believe in. We have no core values and principles. We could not care less about what goes on in government. This is a total hands off approach to politics.
