Congratulations to Joe Rudderow, a Plantation resident and Charter Member of the Republican Club of the Plantation at Leesburg, who was elected Chairman of the Lake County Republican party for the years 2009 and 2010.

An experienced leader who understands Lake County politics, Joe has the integrity, professionalism and skill to successfully lead our county.

Fifteen members of the Republican Club of the Plantation at Leesburg attended the Lake County Republican Lincoln Day Diner held in the Misson Inn.

The event was well intended by fellow Republican’s from all over Lake County.

The guest speakers were Marc Rubio, Bill McCullum and Daniel Webster. 

For more than 10 minutes Marco Rubio fired up those in attendance, stressing the importance of the upcoming national and state races in 2010.

Marco is best known for his book 100 Innovative Ideas for Florida's Future. The book was compiled after Rubio traveled around the state to gather ideas from citizens. This was done through what Rubio calls "Idearaisers". Many of the issues that he pushed for as speaker came from ideas in this book.
