Principles of the Republican Club of the Plantation at Leesburg

1.    Our commitment to fielding strong candidates will provide good government led by capable people serving in political roles.

2.    This Club will not endorse any individual candidate in the primary election process.

3.    This Club will do its best to encourage qualified candidates to focus their time and energy in maintaining their individual campaigns.

4.    There is a competitive side to politics. Issues and principals define some of the reasons we choose one candidate over another. This Club encourages members to focus on the issues of good government as we strive to win.

5.    Good politics involves the discussion and consideration of opposing views. This Club intends to be a positive force in the discussion of political ideas. Members are encouraged to participate in discussions, but at no time should we be involved in personal attacks.

6.    The promotion of qualifications, ideas and goals of candidates or a political party involves the need for resources. This Club has among its objectives the raising of funds to support Republican candidates and our Party objectives. This Club will continually look for ways to raise such funds, dispersing them within legal boundaries and at the decision of the entire club.

7.    This Club believes that there is a social and community need within each of us that can be served while learning more about governmental issues. This concept will be kept in mind as the Club plans meetings and functions. Also, each member is strongly encouraged to volunteer time and resources during each election cycle.

8.    This Club is open to all registered Republicans in the Plantation at Leesburg with an objective to register new Republicans. Club activities and programs will strive to provide opportunities for Independents and Democrats to become registered Republicans.

  1. Providing a positive environment and the opportunity to socialize will be important aspects of planning for all activities of the Club. Each member is charged with helping to promote such a winning environment.

 10. Each member of this Club is charged with the responsibility of encouraging qualified Republicans to seek office, not only on a county level, but statewide and nationally as well.
